How we use AI

Photo stencils are drawn by an AI image model. AI results vary from photo to photo, so we run a quality check on every drawing and retry when it fails. Your photo is only used to make your stencil. See Privacy for details.

Is this made with AI?

Yes. An AI image model draws the stencil from your photo. Then an automatic check rejects drawings that are not clean black and white or that would not carve, and the AI tries again. For carving, the site also adds bridges so no piece of pumpkin falls out.

Why do I pay before I see the stencil?

Every drawing uses paid AI time, including the retries we run before you see anything. Paying first keeps the price at about a dollar a stencil instead of charging more to cover free previews.

What if it does not work?

If the AI cannot make a usable stencil from your photo, your point goes back to your account automatically and you can try another photo.

Do points expire? Is this a subscription?

No and no. You pay once, and points stay in your account until you use them.

Can I print it again or at another size?

Yes. After a stencil is made you can download the PDF at any pumpkin size as many times as you like. That does not use another point.

Are the other stencils free?

Yes. Every design in the painting and carving libraries and the name stencil maker is free to print. Points are only for turning your own photo into a stencil.
